I did my part. Both client-side and server-side. Did you?
While most of my services are now available over IPv6, they were available before but with no public announcement (i.e. no AAAA
entry). The only missing one is XMPP with Prosody, which will have to wait for 0.9.0.
It seems most registrars still don’t support IPv6 GLUE DNS entries, making a pure v6 stack impractical.
I am probably going to encounter a lot of “fun” issues with misconfigured SMTP servers now (a common one would be the lack of a reverse DNS entry for the IPv6, which was my server’s case, and I had outgoing mail rejected because of it).
I finally found a Firefox addon reporting correctly the current protocol used: SixOrNot.
